Abstract
The technical basis of the BRE domestic energy model BREDEM-8, which calculates annual consumption from monthly estimates, is described. The model estimates energy consumption in dwellings, including estimates for space heating, water heating, cooking and lights and appliances. The principles behind the model are discussed and the equations are listed. Sufficient information to implement the model is given.
